Battles in the East #2: Uman Pocket and Guderian’s Final Blitzkrieg, 1941. (final proof stage). These two battles were fought during Barbarossa. Uman is a lesser-known battle fought just south of the more famous Kiev Encirclement. Guderian’s Final Blitzkrieg is the final lunge to encircle Moscow from the south.
Battles in the East #1: Sandomierz Offensive and Bagration Stopped, 1944. (final proof stage). These two battles were fought along the Vistula River as the Soviets sought to gain bridgeheads. First Ukrainian Front, having just captured Lvov (Lemberg) continued a series of offensives with the Sandomierz Offensive that gained a massive bridgehead. The Germans counterattacked with two Panzerkorps. This battle included a firefight between German King Tigers and the Soviet’s largest tanks, the JS-2. The other battle was fought near Warsaw where the Soviets gained small footholds across the Vistula and drove north towards the Narew River to cut off German forces and cut rail lines.
Napoleon 20. We have worked out an agreement to acquire this game line with over 50 Napoleonic games, about half of which were published by Victory Point Games (the other half are in various stages of design and development). We intend to reorganize the series by region and time period and publish in a deluxe boxed series. Each volume in this series will generally include four battles. Components will include two double-sided (17” x 22”) mounted game boards, three counter sheets (two for one-inch square combat units and one sheet for markers), a 55-card deck, a 16-page series rules booklet, a 16-page scenario and exclusive rules booklet, and a 16-page historical background, plus charts, tables, and displays. Middle East Struggle is a card-driven board game of geopolitical conflict simulation of actual events. Players represent the three regional powers in the contemporary Middle East: Iran, Israel, and Saudi Arabia. They compete for influence on the region’s map while maintaining internal cohesion and securing support from world superpowers. Card play covers all the tools available: intrigue, covert operations, extreme ideologies, oil, propaganda, technology, espionage, and proxy wars. Four scenarios, one for each decade since the Iranian Revolution, plus a Campaign Game covering 1979 to present are included, plus a tutorial game of the events of 1978-1979 to assist new players in learning game mechanics. A thorough update of the ground system to better simulate the blitzkrieg in the west, operations on the Eastern front, and the unique situation in North Africa along with enhancements to the air and naval systems to improve simulation value. First World War. An update of the SPI classic. The new design will include a new map at the same scale but specifically created for this WWI conflict. North African Campaign (design stage). There is no paperwork or data tracking in this update of the SPI classic. Streamlined but realistic procedures allow the realistic portrayal of unit assignment and supply expenditure. Command and control cards drive the action, enabling a player to tailor his emphasis on building units, gathering intelligence, conducting operations, or building up supplies. The map has undergone a graphic update. The air war is updated and enhanced and the OOB presents the latest research with all units at a battalion level (armor in companies and air units in squadrons).
