Pledge Program Overview - How To Use The Pledge System - Go to Pledge Update - Pledge FAQs

PLEDGE PROGRAM OVERVIEW (NEW CUSTOMERS)

The Decision Games Pledge Program is an online preorder system for gamers to "pledge” their support to purchase future games. Pledge orders will receive a minimum 25% discount from the final retail price. Shipping and handling charges are not included in the game price and are added at the time of processing the pledge order. We provide estimated pricing, however the final price is subject to change based on the latest components, printing, and shipping costs. Please note we never collect funds for pledge games until the game has completed printing and is in transit to our warehouse.

Pledge games are organized into two major groups:

B-list games. B-list games are divided into two sub-groups, new and reprints. New games have been selected for publication and are currently in design or development steps. Some of them are waiting for design because they are part of a series (BITEs, GOSS), or for our one monster game developer (North African Campaign, War in Europe).

B-list reprint games are previously published games selected for update and reprint. All B-list games move to the A-list once the design, development, and/or update steps are completed, and they have reached a level of at least 200 pledge orders.

A-list games have finished design and development and are completing the remaining steps of testing, proofing, production, and transit. They are listed in the anticipated order of publication.

To pledge for games, review the games listed below, and go to the game’s shop page to place your pledge order. Pledges are a commitment to purchase a game when published. No payment information is required in order to make pledges. Credit card information or a check will be required once a game completes production and is in transit to our warehouse; cards will not be charged or checks cashed until games are ready to ship.

PLEDGE PROGRAM UPDATE

We have added a note after each game’s title to indicate what step each game is in. Here’s where we stand currently on series and individual projects. Battles in the East, Volumes 1 and 2 released over the summer. Axis Empires Ultimate Edition and Sealion are releasing in October.

A-List Update

The first two volumes of Battles in the East have shipped. Customers can pledge for Volumes 3 and 4.

Axis Empires Ultimate Edition (AE) and Sealion are about to release.

Wacht am Rhein (second printing). In production. Anticipated release is March 2024. This is a surprise entry as it just sold out and we want to have it back in print in 2024, so it is jumping to the front of the GOSS series production line.

Drive on Stalingrad (DG/Ty Bomba’s design). In Deluxe Edition production. Anticipated release is March 2024. The game map hex field has been enlarged along with the counter size. Two mounted maps and 5/8” counters.

The remainder of the A-list games are in various stages of testing or production. In January 2024, we expect to announce another print group for July 2024 release.

B-List Update

GOSS series

Over the Rhine: Market Garden is the next new GOSS game. Because the system rules are minimally updated, we’re expecting to complete play testing rapidly with release in 2024 (thus it is moving up to the A-list). The series will then move on to the North Africa group of GOSS games: Tobruk, Alamein, and Tunisia. Also, with the overwhelmingly positive reception of the Hannut game in World at War #80, we are anticipating Arras-Cambrai, another GOSS-lite game, to appear in World at War issue #112.

Battles in the East Series

The third volume, Drive to the Sea & Battle for Pomerania has completed testing and is queued up for final artwork and review. The fourth volume (Mius River & Vitebsk) is in testing. Both have moved to the A-list.

Monster Games

North African Campaign will be proceeding into play test after Over the Rhine (GOSS). After North African Campaign, we will move on to War in Europe.

By the way, Campaigns in Europe was selected by our magazine customers to appear in World at War #97-100 (starting in July 2024 – subscriptions must be entered by 1 May 2024 to include #97). Campaigns in Europe utilizes an updated set of the four central maps from War in Europe and a historically based division (German/Western Allies) and corps (Soviets/Axis Allies) level counter set to simulate major ETO campaigns. It will not have the strategic elements of WIE (i.e. production spirals, U-Boats & convoys, strategic bombing, political tracks, etc.), however it will have accurate OOBs with historical variation in unit capabilities for many of the major campaigns. The series issue games currently planned are: Barbarossa North, Case Blue to Operation Uranus, Sicily to Rome, and D-Day to Market Garden. An expansion kit is planned and will include four additional counter sheets and nine additional scenarios including a pair of two map scenarios.

Deluxe Editions

Deluxe Editions are magazine games that are out-of-print, and are selected for an upgraded box game reprint. They receive a mounted game board with potentially enlarged map, counters that may be enlarged and include new variant counters, a possibly expanded rules booklet, and play aids. Sealion is printing. Coral Sea is in production. Red Dragon/Green Crescent is in testing. Carrier Battlegroup has just moved into development.

We are running a new set of surveys to determine the next games to join the pledge program.
